Solenn Amrouche will make the switch from GT racing to compete in the GB4 Championship this season, becoming the series’ first French driver in its history.

It was announced today that the 22-year-old will compete with Arden Motorsport in what will be her first experience racing in the UK.

She becomes the team’s first signing of the new season following winter testing, with more announcements expected soon.

Her Career So Far

Amrouche began her motorsport journey aged 12 in karting before progressing into GT-style cars at 17.

Since then, she has become vice-champion of the Spanish GT Championship’s GPX category, competing alongside her father, former GT champion Lionel Amrouche.

In 2024, she furthered her experience by competing in the 24 Hours of Barcelona, where she topped the GTX category. Other notable circuits she raced at include Portimão and Dubai.

While continuing her GT career last season, she also gained her first taste of single-seater machinery in the Ultimate Cup, which travels across Europe in Formula Regional cars.

Her campaign proved impressive, claiming a podium at Aragón along with 13 further top-10 finishes, as she secured seventh in the overall standings and fifth in the rookie class.

She said in the announcement:

“I am very proud to be making my debut in GB4 in the United Kingdom and to represent France in this championship. It is an important step in my single-seater progression, and I am really looking forward to starting the season to continue learning and gaining experience. My objective is clearly to fight for the title of top female driver.”

“I am also delighted to be joining Arden Motorsport, a team that won this title last season. Their experience and expertise provide me with the ideal environment to develop and perform. We have all the tools to be competitive this year, and I am determined to make the most of this opportunity.”

The prize for female drivers will continue from last season, with €50,000 on offer for the top female competitor to help fund a seat in the F1 Academy.

She is the 25th driver confirmed for this year’s GB4 Championship season, with just under two months to go until the opener at Silverstone Circuit on 25–26 April.
