The Silverstone Circuit has been carrying out major works to expand the fan-favourite Lando Stand ahead of the Formula 1 2026 British Grand Prix.
Located on the outside of Stowe Corner, the grandstand dedicated to Lando Norris, sold out back in November. This highlights the huge demand from fans eager to support the British driver at his home race.
The popularity for Norris is only set to increase. Following his drivers championship triumph last year and with interest in the sport continuing to rise, his following is only set to grow further.
During the British GT Media Day on March 31st, extensive construction work was visible around the stand. Not only is the grandstand itself being expanded to accommodate more spectators, but significant development is also taking place in the surrounding areas, suggesting further enhancements to the overall fan experience.
The upgraded structure is expected to offer improved viewing for fans, providing a clearer view down the Hangar Straight and into to Stowe Corner, one of the circuit’s key overtaking opportunities.
A major structural change for 2026 sees the stand transformed from four separate sections into a single, fully connected grandstand. This redesign is aimed at increasing capacity while also creating a more unified and atmospheric fan section.
The 2026 Formula 1 British Grand Prix takes place on July 3rd-5th this year where fans should expect to see an improved Lando Stand experience for those in the grandstands and General Admission+.
