The GB3 Championship took on the fifth round of the 2026 season at Silverstone Circuit, returning to the venue for the second time this year. Here’s what went down.
The weekend kicked off with the first qualifying session, where Deagan Fairclough claimed his first pole position of the weekend with a 1:50.112 after eight laps. Martin Molnar secured second to complete the front row of the grid, finishing 0.182 seconds behind Fairclough. Lucas Fluxa rounded out the top three.
In qualifying two, Fairclough claimed a second pole position with a time of 1:49.714. Rowan Campbell-Pilling finished 0.141 seconds behind to secure his first second-place qualifying result of the weekend, while Fluxa once again completed the top three.
Moving on to the races, race one started with a DNS for Xcel’s Ricardo Baptista, before Fortec’s Jack Taylor retired on lap eight. Deagan Fairclough led every lap to take his first victory of the weekend after 12 laps. He set the pace and the standard throughout, laying down the benchmark for the rest of the weekend. Martin Molnar chased him for all 12 laps but ultimately had to settle for second place, giving himself momentum heading into the remaining races. Fluxa unfortunately suffered setbacks and finished 17th after starting third. However, his teammate, Campbell-Pilling, capitalised to claim the final podium position and round off race one at Silverstone.
Race two followed a similar story to race one. Hitech’s Deagan Fairclough led all 14 laps to convert another pole position into his second win of the weekend. Campbell-Pilling spent the race extracting every bit of pace from his car to secure second place and his second podium of the Silverstone weekend. Lucas Fluxa held onto third despite Martin Molnar’s relentless pressure, securing a double podium for Xcel and rewarding the team’s mechanics for their efforts. Hillspeed’s Peter Bouzinelos suffered issues on lap nine, forcing him to retire from the race.
The final race of the weekend, the reverse-grid contest, saw Elite Motorsport’s Edu Robinson start from pole, with Rodrigo Gonzalez completing the front row. Abbi Pulling crashed at Turn 1 on lap 13, forcing her to retire just one lap from the finish.
Jacob Micallef climbed from third on the grid to take victory after 14 laps, securing his first win of the weekend and completing a clean sweep for Hitech across the three races. Gonzalez held on to second to secure his podium finish, while Robinson fought his way to third to claim the final podium position and round off the weekend at Silverstone.
