Abbi Pulling has been confirmed as one of the drivers participating in an evaluation test session with Andretti Global, giving her the chance to experience the cars used in the championship.

A total of 11 drivers will undergo a one-day evaluation session on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course before the 2027 Indy NXT season. Among them are George Argyros, an American prospect, and Alex Powell, a former Mercedes junior.

The test is set to take place as Pulling is in the midst of her second season in the GB3 Championship with Rodin Motorsport. At the age of 23, Pulling has made massive strides in 2026 after earning her first GB3 win on the Spa-Francorchamps circuit in May.

The win held special significance for Pulling, as she became the first woman in GB3 history to start from pole position and go on to win the race.

Pulling has since gone on to earn two further podium finishes at Donington Park this month by coming third in Races 1 and 3. Pulling broke the fastest-ever GB3 lap record on the Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit during last week’s test day as well.

It is important to note that the Indianapolis test is not just a one-off opportunity to drive a completely new car. According to IndyCar, the New Driver Evaluation is an opportunity for teams to evaluate their future drivers before potential season drives in 2027. For drivers who take part, it is necessary to complete at least one season of racing in an approved feeder series and have never before driven an Indy NXT car.

For Pulling, the opportunity to participate in the test is a chance to explore another potential path in her racing career. Pulling is also the rookie and simulator driver for the Nissan Formula E team.
