The GB4 Championship makes its first visit of 2026 to Castle Donington for the third round of the season. Despite the heat, the grid is set to race in the wet for the first time this year, as rain is forecast on Saturday afternoon and for much of Sunday.

GB4 will race on Donington Park’s 2.498 mile Grand Prix circuit this weekend. In 2025, the circuit hosted both the season opener and season finale, with eventual champion Ary Bansal taking a win in both visits.

Runner-up Isaac Phelps won the first race of the year and Alex Berg took top honours in the reverse-grid race. Dayton Coulthard and Leon Wilson won races one and two respectively, and Leandro Juncos took victory in the final race of the weekend.

Last time out at Oulton Park, Fred Green took another win from pole position in race one, finishing ahead of Alex O’Grady and Enzo Hallman. O’Grady began race two from pole, which featured a safety car deployment on the opening lap for a tangle between Coulthard and Josh McLean at Cascades. In the end, O’Grady took his first win of 2026 ahead of Green and Hallman.

Coulthard started the reverse-grid race from pole, but was quickly overtaken by McLean around the outside of Old Hall Corner. There was once again a safety car on the first lap when John O’Donnell and Charlie Myers came to blows at the Britten’s chicane, which then became a red flag.

The race restarted with the original grid and McLean again quickly overtook Coulthard for the lead. The British driver went on to take victory ahead of Coulthard and Emmilio Valentino Del Grosso.

There are two changes to the grid for this weekend. Jamie Leverton has moved to Nitrous Competitions ADM Racing for the rest of the season and Myers will not be competing this weekend. As such, Idola Motorsport are absent and Arden Motorsport will compete with only two drivers.

Championship leader Green finished fastest in yesterday’s second and third test sessions, with O’Grady topping the first session and Hallman topping the final session. On combined times, O’Grady was the fastest with a 1:29.769, followed by Hallman and Green.

Today, Green went fastest in both the first session and on combined times with a 1:30.172. Thomas Ingram Hill topped the second and third sessions and Hallman once again took top honours in the final session.

Green left Oulton Park with an extended championship lead and now stands on 140 points, 13 ahead of O’Grady. In the teams’ championship, Hillspeed now lead the standings on 194 points, overtaking former leaders Douglas Motorsport on 170 points.
