The oldest Grand Prix is back as the British GP hits the iconic Silverstone circuit for the ninth round of the 2026 Formula 1 season.
The five Brits experienced a mixed bag around the Red Bull ring with some meeting their expectations but some falling short of their marks.
Here is what to expect from each British driver ahead of the British Grand Prix:
George Russell
Russell snatched both pole and the headlines after Saturday’s qualifying session after a controversial final run saw George steal P1 from under the noses of both Ferrari’s after Max Verstappen’s accident brought out the yellow flags.
He capped off the weekend with a flawless win and looked truly dominant throughout the entire race. Russell will be aiming for much the same to keep digging into his teammate’s championship lead.
The Mercedes still looks the most complete package and George is enjoying a good spell of results after a tricky period following the opening Grand Prix so another weekend bettering Antonelli is a must.

Lewis Hamilton
Lewis had a rollercoaster of a race in Austria and the whole weekend felt a sobering reality check that Ferrari are still behind Mercedes and it was front and center in Austria.
Hamilton was touted for a potential title fight following the Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix but those thoughts seemingly evaporated concluding the Austrian Grand Prix weekend.
Hamilton will be looking to impress his home crowd in arguably his strongest track, the real test will be the Ferrari’s capability to take the fight to Mercedes.

Lando Norris
If there was ever a man who is desperate for the summer break it must be Lando Norris. The McLaren package is a major headache for the drivers and Norris seemingly had no answer to teammate Piastri in Austria.
The reigning world champion won last year’s Grand Prix, this year a win is nothing short of a miracle despite McLaren bringing a stunning one-off livery.
Norris will be aiming for a good result and maybe if the cards fall in his favour a podium could be a longshot chance but a strong showing in terms of performance will be the baseline test.
Arvid Linblad
Linblad just seems to get more mature with each passing race, the young gun is thriving at the moment with a hat trick of point-scoring finishes and putting the VCARB package in consistently solid positions.
His first home Grand Prix in F1 will be a huge occasion and he will be looking to use that to build on his already impressive start to his career.
More points will be the mission for Linblad and with the VCARB performing the way it is, that doesn’t feel too tall of an order.
Oliver Bearman
Bearman has endured the most painful run out of the five Brits, the HAAS driver last scoring points at the Canadian Grand Prix and only finishing one race since being last weekends Austrian Grand Prix.
The HAAS package doesn’t look anywhere near the competitiveness of other midfield runners, the likes of Alpine, Audi and VCARB all seemingly having the advantage in a tightly packed midfield.
Bearman will want to impress his home crowd but his efforts are likely to be limited by his car, points might be on the cards but it’ll likely take some misfortune for others.
