It’s the final event of the Castle Combe Racing Club season this weekend where plenty of championships still hang in the balance. With the ever exciting home championships and extra support from the 750 motor club, there will be plenty for spectators to watch on Saturday. Incluing a very special lunchtime demo run from McMurtry! Let’s bring you up to speed with the championship pictures and what you can see at Champions Coronation day, which will be the curtain call of the Castle Combe Racing Club season.
CCRC Formula Ford 1600 Championship
The Castle Combe Formula Ford 1600 championship will be on the line on Saturday. The title could be decided in the first race however.

All Luke Cooper needs to do to become a four time Castle Combe Formula Ford 1600 champion is to finish race one, and the title will be his. He will face competition from his talented teammate Sam Skellet and already crowned class B champion Nathan Ward. Tom Hawkins returns to the championship too after his one off round earlier this season where he claimed an overall victory. He too will be one to watch with nothing to lose this weekend.

CCRC NANKANG Tyres Hot Hatch Championship
A total of 19 Hot Hatches are sheduled to take to the track this weekend in what promises to be a brilliant final few races of their season. A whole host of class championships will be crowned this weekend. In class A, Corey Webber still leads despite his absence from the last round. He will not be competing in this round either but boasts a 13 point lead at the top of the standings. Julian Fisher is the only man who can overturn his margin as he must get two wins and two fastest laps to best Webber. Of course, when drop scores come into play then its anoyones guess! The battle for class C honours is a tight one too. Josh Carter currently sits on top of the standings but just 10 points behind is Wayne Rushworth.

CCRC Avon Tuning GT Championship & South Cearny Saloon Car Championship
These two championships have combined once again to produce a better field of cars. The pairing of these championships provided some great racing last time out. In the GTs, Dave Scaramanga has already clinched class A honours. He is not entered for this weekend so it will be between Keith Butcher/Sacha Kakad and Dylan Popovic to battle at the front this weekend. In the Saloons, Bill Brockbank looks to have wrapped up the class A championship already. He will be joined in class A this weekend by the returning Dave Spiller in his Audi TT. Watch for a brilliant mix of machinery in these races!

750 Motor Club MX5 Championship
If there are MX5’s on track, no matter where they are, there is bound to be exciting door to door racing. And Castle Combe is a brilliant track for them with its long straights. A massive field of 35 MX5’s are entered to take to the track this weekend. The number 555 of Matthew Highcock will be one to watch as he leads the standings heading into the final round. The number 4, driven by Simon Walker-Hansell sits second just one point ahead of Jake Paice.
Monoposto Racing Club
If you are looking for fast then look no further than the Monoposto Racing Club. A huge mix of single seaters make up the 15 car field. From Dallara F3 chassis raced as recently as 2011 to early 90s Formula Renault cars. These cars will produce some seriously fast last times with their slicks (if the track remains dry) and wings so don’t miss the Monoposto Racing Club races!
750 Motor Club Hot Hatch & Classic Stock Hatch
Another combined grid race with a total of 39 cars set to be on track together. In the Hot Hatches, Lewis Barker is the runaway championship leader in his Honda Civic Type R. And in the Stock Hatches, Jacob-Jo Wood has a healthy points gap in his Vauxhall Nova GTE. A brilliant mix of cars will be out on track for this one!
750 Motor Club Type R Trophy
And finally, the 750 Motor Club Type R Trophy. A one make series for Honda Civic Type R’s. The Type R trophy is sure to be a very competative field with 13 cars entered. Danny Hobson is leading the championship heading into the weekend. The number 25 machine will be hoping to keep his lead as the 2026 season comes to an end. But they will face competition from the number 1 of Trafford King and the 83 of Jon Labella.
