The British Formula One drivers return to action as the championship lands in Texas this weekend.
George Russell
The Mercedes driver may or may not lose the world championship to his teammate Kimi Antonelli this weekend, but on the brighter side, his team can bring the constructors’ championship home to Brackley.
Russell, who started from the back of the grid in Singapore, made steady progress, but as he was pitting, the virtual safety car ended, dropping him further down the field. On fresher tyres, Russell made up a few positions in the final few laps to finish ninth.
At the last triple header of races, Russell scored 27 points after winning in Baku, a DNF in Malaysia and two points in Singapore; the number 63 will be hoping for a much better outcome from this triple header.
Lewis Hamilton
Ferrari’s top driver in the drivers’ championship is in the fight for second in the championship as he hunts down George Russell following one podium in the last three races.
Last time out in Singapore, Hamilton did not pit under the virtual safety car, meaning his tyres were out of shape in the final 20 laps of the Grand Prix. Oscar Piastri on fresher tyres overtook the seven-time world champion with two laps to go to drop Hamilton to sixth.
In the last triple header, Hamilton scored 38 points with one third-place finish at Malaysia and two sixth-place finishes at Baku and Singapore.
Lando Norris
McLaren have struggled in the last few races, to say the least; Norris definitely hasn’t been at his best recently.
In Singapore, Norris finished fourth, which was actually his best finish of the triple header; in Baku, he did not finish after both Alpine cars crashed into turn one off the safety car restart.
In Malaysia, it did not get much better for Norris, as he nearly ran into the back of his teammate, Piastri, dropping him to ninth place.
Arvid Lindblad
One of the most underrated drivers this season is definitely Lindblad; the Visa Cash App Racing Bulls driver is thoroughly enjoying his rookie season in Formula 1.
In the last race, Lindblad did not have a fantastic race; he finished 15th after not making much progress through the field.
In the triple header, he scored in two of the three races. Finishing seventh in Baku and tenth in Malaysia, scoring seven points altogether.
Ollie Bearman
Bearman has had a tough season, to say the least, with HAAS not building a fantastic car. Halfway through the last triple header, it was announced he’d get a new teammate for 2027, with Brazilian Rafael Camara joining the team on a multi-year contract.
HAAS have announced a new livery for the Texas race. Collaborating with Godzilla and creating a stunning design for the Circuit Of The Americas.
In the last triple header, Bearman finished all three races, scoring two points with a ninth-place finish in Baku. In Malaysia, the number 87 finished 14th, and then in Singapore he scored points in the sprint but not the main race.
