Newly crowned British GT champions Marcus Clutton and Simon Orange are set to trade their championship-winning machinery for something a little less glamorous as they compete in the final round of the EnduroKA season at Brands Hatch.

The pair join a number of notable names on the grid, including BTCC drivers Tom Chilton, Alex Brundle, George Wright and Chickspeed Motorsport.

Clutton confirmed in an interview with BMM that he will compete with the KaChow outfit, the same team he raced with in last season’s 500-minute race, where he finished third.

“It was either the first round of Asian Le Mans at Paul Ricard, or we [Clutton and Orange] can do the Brands Hatch Indy 500, and we’re doing that instead,” the British GT champion said.

It is yet to be confirmed which team Orange will compete with, but the pair will be swapping their usual GT3 surroundings for the slightly more modest machinery of the EnduroKA grid.

The eight-hour event will provide fans with the opportunity to see the British GT champions competing among the EnduroKA field. The pair will need to get to grips with KA machinery, with it being a slight change to their usual McLaren 720s GT3 Evo.

The EnduroKA season comes to a close next weekend, on 15 November, as a packed grid of Ford Kas takes on the Brands Hatch Indy Circuit for a 500-minute showdown.

Keep an eye out for our preview, which will follow in the days leading up to the season finale.
