Osian Pryce and James Morgan were crowned the 2026 Motorsport UK British Rally Champions (BRC) after a dramatic final round in the wild heart of Wales.
The thrilling three-way showdown between Max McRae, Osian Pryce and Meirion Evans went down to the final round of the season, the Cambrian Rally.
Pryce’s advantage over McRae was just 1.2 seconds at the finish. It was a small margin, but enough to secure his second career BRC title.

It was a flying start to the season for the Welsh champion, who claimed victories at the opening rounds, the Severn Stages Rally and the Grampian Forest Rally, in his Michelin-backed Toyota GR Yaris Rally2 for the Castrol MEM Rally Team.
However, the championship was thrown wide open when a retirement at Rali Ceredigion reignited the title race, giving McRae and Evans an even greater chance of claiming this year’s crown.
Despite a strong start and leading after the opening stage, Scotsman McRae dramatically spun on standing water, dropping behind his title rivals and handing Pryce the lead.

Evans’ title hopes were short-lived, as an off-track excursion in his Toyota GR Yaris Rally2 on the fifth stage ended his rally and brought his championship challenge to a close, leaving just two drivers in the fight for the title.
Stage after stage, McRae chipped away at Pryce’s advantage, clawing back seconds in the closing stages. His blistering final-stage performance saw the Scot take 4.7 seconds out of his title rival, but it wasn’t enough to overturn the deficit.
Pryce was crowned BRC champion for the second time on home soil, with co-driver Morgan celebrating his first championship triumph.
The BRC is yet to announce its 2027 calendar, but organisers say it will be confirmed in the coming weeks.
